I have been drawn to the coastal areas around Shetland and am taken by the rugged timelessness.

Welcome to my web pages - I hope you enjoy these collections of photographs and drawings from around Shetland.

Since moving from Denmark a couple of years ago I have found much colour, variety and history in my new home and have been busy trying to capture some of it.

Time has been spent trying to capture the essence of the coast with photos of the coastline and bird life.

Many sketches have been made of the coastal scenes including the sea birds and flora.

Inland we find Shetland ponies, known the world over, but here they look very at home.

The coast also tells a story of shipping through the years. In days of less reliable navigation many ships fell foul of the dangers of the Shetland coastline.

The timbers in these ships provide a visual reminder of the sailing era.
